The fare to utilize CATS is $.75 per trip. The cost is the same for all passengers, regardless of age. The fare is a just a small portion of the true cost of the trip. This cost is subsidized through a federal grant with the City providing the local match.
You must pay 75¢ or present a pass upon boarding. Drivers cannot accept Round Trip Fare and drivers are not allowed to make change – you must have the correct fare to board. Transit passes can be purchased at the CATS office (401 E. 7th) for $5.00. Each transit pass is good for 10 one-way trips. Passes do not expire and can be shared with others. When reserving your trips remember to schedule a stop at the office to purchase your pass. The driver will not charge you for your trip to the office, but the trip must be scheduled in advance.
